Gemini brings AI scheduling to Gmail for effortless meeting planning
Google has introduced a new feature for Gmail called “Help me schedule”, powered by Gemini, which helps users more easily propose meeting times directly within email conversations. The feature analyzes your Google Calendar and the email context to suggest times and automatically handle calendar invites.
Gmail surfaces a “Help me schedule” button when it detects that the email is about arranging a meeting.
When clicked, Gemini suggests potential meeting slots based on your calendar availability and the email context.
The suggested times are inserted into your reply, allowing the recipient to choose the best option.
Once the recipient picks a time, Gmail automatically creates a calendar invite for all parties.
This feature is part of Google’s broader integration of Gemini into Workspace tools.
By embedding scheduling intelligence directly into email threads, “Help me schedule” aims to streamline the back-and-forth that often accompanies meeting planning. As this capability rolls out, it could save users significant time and friction when coordinating schedules. Read More

OpenAI is integrating ChatGPT directly into Slack, enabling users to leverage AI capabilities within their workspace without switching apps. This new tool will allow users to ask for summaries, drafts, or insights based on Slack conversations and files.
Slack users can connect their workspace with ChatGPT to access AI features within Slack itself.
ChatGPT in Slack can summarize messages, files, and entire conversations.
To use it, you need a paid Slack plan and must install the ChatGPT app (with administrator permission).
The integration lets users query Slack contextually (e.g. “summarize this channel’s activity this week”).
ChatGPT isn’t Slack’s first AI — it will coexist with other AI assistants like Asana and Claude on the platform.
By embedding ChatGPT within Slack, OpenAI is making it easier for teams to harness AI-powered support without leaving their communication hub. As adoption grows, this integration could significantly boost productivity by reducing the friction of toggling between tools. Read more
