OPENAI LAUNCHES A NEW CODING INTERFACE TO CHATGPT

On Thursday, OpenAI unveiled a new interface for ChatGPT called “Canvas,” designed to streamline writing and coding projects.

This feature creates a separate workspace alongside the usual chat window, allowing users to generate and edit text or code more intuitively. Canvas is now available in beta for ChatGPT Plus and Teams users, with Enterprise and Edu users set to gain access next week.

• Allows users to edit generated text or code directly.

• Competes with Anthropic’s Artifacts and Cursor.

• Helps users track revisions without losing original inputs.

• Includes shortcuts for faster writing and coding tasks.

• Beta available for ChatGPT Plus and Teams, Enterprise and Edu soon.

Audio overviews are getting a lot of attention, but there are more useful functions built into NotebookLM. When it answers your questions or gets quotes from text, it actually shows where the information came from. It’s much better at extracting accurate quotes, for example, than ChatGPT or Claude.
