Slack introduces Lists to bring project management into the platform
Slack has introduced Slack Lists, a built-in project management feature aimed at helping teams capture, organize, and track work directly within the platform. The tool is designed to transform casual conversations into actionable tasks, eliminating the need for external project management apps. Slack says this move addresses long-standing frustrations with traditional tools that don’t always fit the needs of day-to-day workers.
Slack Lists allows tasks to be created with assignees, due dates, statuses, and priorities.
The feature integrates with Workflow Builder, Slack Canvas, and Slack AI for automation, timelines, and faster search.
Users can save messages directly into a List to turn discussions into trackable actions.
Pilot testing showed 77% of users reported better productivity with Lists.
Early adopters like Marriott Digital Services say the tool could unlock major time savings for teams.
By embedding project management directly into the platform, Slack hopes to reduce duplicative work and reliance on external apps. From sales and IT requests to marketing campaigns, Lists is positioned as a flexible solution for multiple industries. The company says the feature will help teams complete projects faster and drive productivity using the full power of Slack. Read More

Harness launches AI powered platform to automate DevOps workflows
Harness has launched a new AI-powered DevOps platform designed to automate a wide range of tasks and workflows. Built on a continuously updating Software Delivery Knowledge Graph, the platform allows AI agents to handle pipeline creation, deployments, testing, and cost optimization. The company says the goal is to cut down on manual effort while scaling software delivery more efficiently.
Harness AI uses a Software Delivery Knowledge Graph to integrate data from Harness and third-party DevOps tools.
DevOps teams can describe workflows in natural language, and AI agents will build pipelines that comply with organizational policies.
The platform can run root-cause analysis, manage tests and chaos experiments, detect vulnerabilities, and suggest cloud cost savings.
Beta customers reported a 50% drop in debugging time, 80% faster test cycles, and a 70% reduction in test maintenance.
Harness emphasizes that none of the data it collects will be used to train the AI models powering its agents.
Harness is positioning its AI agents as a way to overcome the fragility and inefficiency of traditional DevOps scripts. While engineers will still play a key role in reviewing and orchestrating outputs, the company sees AI agents taking on much of the manual workload. The move signals a future where DevOps teams focus more on managing AI-driven workflows than repetitive tasks. Read more
Trace automates repetitive workflows with AI and human collaboration
Trace is an AI-powered workflow automation platform that blends human decision-making with machine intelligence to streamline company operations. By mapping out how teams work, Trace identifies repetitive tasks, routes them intelligently to either humans or AI, and preserves existing structures without disrupting workflows. Designed for modern teams, it creates a “CompanyOS” that centralizes knowledge, tools, and execution in one place.
Workflow Mapping – Analyzes and visualizes existing processes, breaking them into actionable steps.
Smart Task Routing – Decides whether tasks should go to humans or AI agents, maintaining control and audit trails.
Drag-and-Drop Workflow Builder – Allows easy design or replication of workflows with ready-made templates.
Unified Contextual Knowledge – Integrates with apps and documents to create a single, searchable knowledge layer.
Scalable AI Orchestration – Manages multiple AI agents alongside teams for seamless execution across departments.
For project managers, Trace offers a powerful way to reduce bottlenecks and free teams from repetitive tasks without losing oversight. Its ability to integrate context from existing tools and route tasks intelligently makes it especially valuable for keeping projects on track, improving productivity, and scaling operations. In essence, Trace functions as both a project assistant and an AI orchestrator—helping managers deliver faster, smarter, and with fewer resources.
